Pink by Design 2 yr Anniversary - Final Challenge

Junk!  For the final challenge, we had to use some junk from your purse or junk drawer.  I found some little cards from Stephen Joseph and use the sketch if you want to.

Here is my card...

Pink by Design 2 yr Anniversary - Challenge 12

We are in the home stretch now... This challenge was called Inspiration is Everywhere.  You needed to look in your home for inspiration for your project.  Well since I live down south in Louisiana, I am in LSU Tiger country.  I have a pretty wall hanging that has a fleur de lis with a tiger print in it.  And since Football season is right around the corner I decided to make a card for my brother.  I discovered that I don't have any sports  themed stamps, so I went with one from PBD's Simply Everything set.

here is my inspiration photo

Woohoo!!  time for the ustream and the very last challenge.

Pink by Design 2 yr Anniversary - Challenge 11

Keep it Simple - a one layer card!  Ooh, this is hard.  I don't own many image stamps, but this one was a SOTM.  It is called A cupcake for You.

I also don't do much coloring!  LOL

onto Challenge 12...

Pink by Design 2 yr Anniversary - Challenge 10

Go Wild! In Challenge 10 we can use a animal print or an animal to create our project.  I know a sweet little boy who loves monkeys that has a birthday coming up soon, so this card will be perfect.  The monkey cut is from Lettering Delights and the sentiment is from the PBD Jungle Fever stamp set.  And the monkey is on an action wobble, so he is extra fun!

Whew!  all caught up.. now to wait for the next challenge to be posted...

Pink by Design 2 yr Anniversary - Challenge 9

Buttons!!  I couldnt decide what I wanted to do with buttons, so I made 2 simple cards.  I must say these challenges are giving me a reason to use some my more everyday sentiments.  Both of these are from the Believe in Yourself stamp set.

Now onto Challenge 10...

Pink by Design 2 yr Anniversary - Challenge 8

Challenge 8 was to use ribbon.  I must admit, I took the easy way out on this one with the ribbon.  I just couldn't come up with an idea for it.  So I used ribbon to hang this cute little sign from the Nursery Tails Imagine cartridge.

Onto challenge 9...

Pink by Design 2 yr Anniversary - Challenge 7

Tag, you're it!  Challenge 7 was to use a tag in your project.  I decided to make a few Christmas tags.  I used the Christmas Wishes stamp set by PBD.

On to the next challlenge...

Pink by Design 2 yr Anniversary - Challenge 6

Sketch challenge.  I decided to keep on making cards, so I altered the sketch a smidge for that.  I love using blue and green when I make cards.

I used the Capture Life PBD stamp set for my banner and sentiment.

Onto challenge 7...

Pink by Design 2 yr Anniversary - Challenge 5

OMBRE!  I have always wanted to make an ombre card and a chevron card.  So I decided to combine the two.  But I put a different spin on it.  I used a chevron shape from Silhouette and then used the fill gradient to color in each line of the chevron with different colors.  So I have a rainbow ombre chevron!  Yes, yes, I know I accidentally mixed up the yellow and orange colors.  I tried to move them, but they were STUCK down.  I used a PBD sentiment from the Faith stamp set.

Doesn't it look cool!?  I kept the rest of the card simple.

Onto Challenge 6...

Darlene

Pink by Design 2 yr Anniversary - Challenge 4

Oh no!  I am starting to feel the pressure!  LOL  The next challenge at PBD was to use a silhouette in your project.

I used the Red, White and Blue stamp set and paper from my stash.

Onto challenge 5!

Darlene

Pink by Design 2 yr Anniversary - Challenge 3

Embossing!  I actually don't emboss that much.  Not sure why, guess I just don't think of it.

The sentiment is from the PBD stamp set called Rain or Shine.

Pink by Design 2 yr Anniversary - Challenge 2

Alrighty, onto Challenge 2 - your favorite holiday.  Mine would have to be Easter.  I love Spring and I love what Easter represents - new beginnings and resurrection.  I was also born on Easter Sunday!

I used the imagine to print the cute little birds and nest and the sentiment is from Hoppy Easter.

Onto to challenge 3!

Pink b y Design 2 yr Anniversary - Challenge 1

Today over at Pink by Design, they are celebrating their 2 yr anniversary by having a day full of challenges.  The first challenge started at 8 am CST and was to create a home decor item using PBD stamps.

I used the Crop til You Drop stamp set to decorate a glass jar from Hobby Lobby.  I am going to use this to collect spare change to support my "stamp habit" at PBD.

Sorry about the lousy pictures, but my camera got smushed on vacation and I am having to use my phone.  I decorated each side with Lush Turquoise rhinestones and ribbon and a flower that my daughter made for the top.  Thanks for looking.

Welcome to the "For Those Left Behind" Blog Hop!  LOL  You should have arrived here from Laura's blog.  Crop Chocolate is a wonderful multiple deal a day site that I frequent daily.  This week they are hosting a Spring Fling at their headquarters in Utah.  A bunch of lucky ladies are there participating in fun activities with each other and the awesome staff at CC.  But unfortunately there are some of us that were left behind and unable to fly to Utah and scrap and craft with our buddies.  So we are hosting our own fun!

The "For Those Left Behind" Blog Hop and Challenge.

Each stop will post a "challenge" for you to complete.  The challenges are created by the blog's author.  You may combine your entry into no more than 3 challenges.  Just make sure you link it to the correct blogs for each challenge.  Make sure you follow the directions on each stop.  Some stops will have blog candy as well as some blog candy from Crop Chocolate.  Here is the hop order in case you need it.

 MY CHALLENGE:
Since we are in the middle of summer and most of us have plans for some sort of vacation, make a layout with the theme of "Are We There Yet?"  You don't have to use that as your title, but it should be something about travelling to your destination.

These are a few pictures my hubby took when we were on our way to Seattle for an Alaskan Cruise in 2006.  The background paper is from Echo Park's mini collection called Enjoy the Ride and the smaller pieces of paper are from EP's Little Boy and Summer Days - all purchased at a great price at Crop Chocolate.  I printed and cut the title using my Cameo and a cut file from EP.  Hmmm.... Some might say I like Echo Park a little!

Please make sure you use at least 50% supplies from Crop Chocolate.  Your challenge submission is due before 9 am MST on Thursday July 5th.  Winners will be announced on Monday July 9th.

MY BLOG CANDY

I am giving away this Travel themed page kit from American Crafts!  In order to be eligible to win, please become a follower of my blog and submit a layout for the challenge.
 Easy Peasy

Your next stop is Rachel at Kitchen Table Scraps .

{Pin}spirational Challenge #6

Eek!  I forgot to set my post for the challenge this morning.  The past few weeks have been a little crazy for me.  But I made sure to participate in all the National Scrapbook Day festivities on the web on Saturday.  I even won a prize package on Scrapbook.com!

This cute little poodle was our pinspiration.

I really had to give this one some thought, because my girls are not "pink" girls, and frankly neither am I.  I was going to make a cute little poodle ballerina from the Twinkle Toes cartridge for a friend who has a grand daughter in a recital.  Then I realized I didnt have that cartridge!  So I ended up with this cute poodle.

The paper is from Fancy Pants About a Girl.  I probably should have inked the edges a little to make the poodle stand out from the busy background paper.  next time.

Make sure you head on over to {Pin} spirational Challenges to enter yours.

Cricut Circle Letter Envy

Yikes!  What a horrible picture of such a pretty letter.  This was a timed challenge for the Cricut Circle NSD fun.  Work and life have gotten in the way of all my NSD fun, so I only had 30 minutes from start to finish.  Whew!

PDE 52 Tags in 2012 - Week #17

It's Friday!!!  Have any fun plans for the weekend?

It's Tag time again.  For Week #17, Create a tag with a HOUSE image... ANY kind of house: beehive, dog house, tree house, gnome house, fish house, King & Queen house, beach house.... any type of house!
Then on the back of your tag write out the number of times you've moved in your life.

Awesome.  Here is my little house.

We moved to Mandeville in November 1999.  My oldest daughter had just turned one year old.  So this is the only house she remembers.  So we have been here about 12.5 years and that is actually the longest I have ever lived in one house.  I think I have lived in about 10-11 different houses in my 40+ years.  WOW!

GUIDELINES:
*New Question or Tag Theme posted every Friday.
*Submit your Tag at any time during the year for any week.
*You do NOT have to reveal what you write on the back of your tag, but you can if you want to share.
*Please link back to PAUSE DREAM ENJOY on your post inviting others to play along.
CANDY ALERT!
*One winner each month from all who submitted tags.
For the month of April we are giving away a 12x12 Echo Park Sweet Summertime collection.

So hop on over to Pause Dream Enjoy and enter this week's challenge, and while you are at it, enter all the challenges for April.  That is more chances to win.

{Pin}spirational Challenge #4

Hoot! Hooot!  I am now part of another design team.  {Pin}spirational Challenges.  Every week we choose a different picture from Pinterest and use that for our inspiration.  I have been having so  much fun with this.

For challenge #4 we were given this picture

Isn't it so cute?  I just love the colors and the owls are adorable.

Ya'll know how much I love my Cricut Imagine...  I used the Nursery tails cartridges and came up with this card.  I didn't put a sentiment bc it could be used for a variety of occasions, so I will wait on that.

So sweet!  Make sure you check out the challenge blog and play along because this week we are being sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs.  They are offering 3 digis from their shop to the winner this week.
*winner will be chosen randomly.

The challenge closes on April 30, midnight MST.  So head over to {Pin}spirational Challenges!!

Getting Cricky Simply Sunday - Favorite Project

One of my favorite lines when I started scrapping was Indie Girl by Sassafras Lass. Go figure, my favorite color is blue! Here is a mother's day card I made using it.

Isnt it purty?! It was probably the first time I used the Cricut cartridge A Child's Year too.

Now go check out the challenge at Getting Cricky.

{Pin}spirational Challenge #2

Ooh! I happened upon a new challenge blog, {Pin}spirational Challenges. If you havent heard of Pinterest yet, then you have been living under a rock! So each week, Deanne will post a picture from Pinterest to inspire us. Here is the picture for challenge #2...

Isnt it beautiful?!

I have always loved the cricut cuts with the rainboots, but had never used one. So this was the perfect opportunity. This cut is from Nate's ABC's and the paper is from Bubblegum Strips on the Imagine and Echo Park. I couldnt decide on a sentiment, so I left it blank until I use this card.

Now make sure you go check out the challenge at {Pin}spirational Challenges and enter.
